Vetinwild is headquartered in Nanyuki (Laikipia county) and operates in Laikipia, Samburu and other northern Kenya counties
We strive to improve animal welfare, avoid disease spillover from wildlife to domestic animals and humans, thereby improving public and ecosystem health and livelihoods.
Vetinwild focuses on efforts that bring down animal and human diseases, e.g., through domestic animal vaccinations and parasite/tick control.
We have many diseases that affect animals in the area that we work. The most common ones include rabies, canine distemper, foot and mouth disease and anthrax.
Surprisingly, all these diseases tend to occur so frequently and yet they can be managed through regular vaccinations and other biosecurity measures. We strive to create awareness and work together with our partners to decrease the frequency of these diseases.
Yes. We believe in offering young graduates opportunities to put into practice what they have learnt is school. However, due to logistical challenges, we can only take a limited number. Therefore, we always ask the potential candidates to apply as early as possible, as these openings are very competitive.
