Insurance Animal Welfare

Promoting enhanced protections for animal welfare and health

Working together with animal advocacy organisations

Pastoral communities interact with both domestic and wild
animals daily while non-pastoral communities rely on
animal products, such as milk and meat, for their nutrition.
Consequently, animal health and welfare impact not only
the health but also the livelihoods of people across all walks of life.

At VetinWild, we adapt our work to the ever-changing challenges of veterinary public health, so as to offer better training and veterinary support to animal advocacy organisations and policymakers.

Our animal advocacy program promotes the five freedoms of animal welfare

Freedom from hunger and thirst

Enabling animals to have access to good nutrition: sufficient, balanced, varied, and clean food and water.

Freedom from discomfort

Promoting a world where animals have a comfortable environment to live and rest.

Freedom from pain,
injury and disease

Improving animals' access to good health, including access to vaccination, and rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Freedom to express
normal behaviour

Enhancing factors that provide sufficient space, proper facilities and opportunities for animals to interact with their own kind,

Freedom from fear and distress

Promoting conditions that prevent mental suffering of animals, as their mental state is just as important as their physical state.
